Karl is the liaison between the clients and the UpMetrics team. He ensures that our partners get great service, have someone to voice their feedback to, and ultimately achieve their goals.
He describes himself as a jack of all trades: "I spent a couple of years in accounting, sometime in advertising operations, business strategy, and marketing analytics. Most recently, I spent almost three years as Account Manager at an advertising SaaS company helping companies achieve their digital marketing goals."
As an undergraduate, Karl studied economics at Umass Amherst, and went on to graduate school at Texas A&M, where he earned an MBA.
"I came to the Bay area for a job, and I've found some great people, a great dance community, and beautiful landscapes in every corner. I'm connected to the positive energy in the Bay.
What matters to him most about his work?
"Working with like-minded people who care about community development. Helping community development programs extend their reach and improve their programs but leveraging our platform to show the impact of their work."
Karl played soccer and ran track as a teenager, and was heavily involved in basketball during the summers throughout high school. He's also a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) for foster youth, providing a listening ear to children and helping them navigate any issues that they come across. And, last but not least, he's an avid dancer and DJ, who is passionate about growing the Kizomba dance community in the Bay.
